Peer Review Process
All manuscripts are subjected to a strict double blind peer review process involving members of the editorial board and external reviewers with expertise in the subject matter. The process starts with an initial review by the editorial team who makes an initial assessment of suitability for EBIOZ. If the manuscript is deemed of interest, the editorial team selects the peer reviewers who are blinded to the manuscript author(s) to further assess the manuscript, recommend any revisions, and offer their opinion on acceptability. We encourage a systematic approach to manuscript review and provide reviewers with the ethical guidelines as mentioned below.
Journal Ethics
EBIOZ is committed to meeting and upholding standards of ethical behaviour at all stages of the publication process. We follow closely the industry associations, such as the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), that set standards and provide guidelines for best practices in order to meet these requirements. We follow the policies regarding duplicate publication, conflicts of interest, patient consent, financial support, etc.
Open Access Publication and Creative Commons Licensing
This is an open access journal, and articles are distributed under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 License, which allows others to remix, tweak, and build upon the work non-commercially, as long as appropriate credit is given, and the new creations are licensed under the identical terms.
Ahead of Print Policy
Articles published online under the Ahead of Print model are considered published and can be cited and quoted using the DOI as the reference source. EBIOZ has a policy that changes will not be made after publication of an article under “Ahead of Print” without following accepted procedures for making corrections to the scientific record.
Corrections in Published Articles
For published articles, minor typo errors that affects the scientific content will be allowed. Such changes will be published as an erratum in the next issue after its publication provided the author will inform the editorial office immediately after its publication. Requests received after publication of the next issue will not be considered.
